Assessment, feedback and reflection in response to Unit 1 completion
My personal general feedback from Unit 1 which overall I’m
really pleased with. I’m also very happy with how aligned my
'strengths' and 'Even better ifs' are with how I predicted they may be.
Allowing me therefore to acknowledge that I can not only assess and review my
work well, have a good understanding of the assessment criteria but also that I
am aware in myself of where i need to develop and grow most.
I will now look to refer to this feedback through
my next project to allow myself to ensure I grow and develop in the
places required. Allowing me to become overall a much more rounded and developed
artist and designer.
My personal SMART targets:
1) S- Reduces repetition in annotation and
information over my blog and sketchbook
M- Within next project 'Creative Conscience' when writing
and displaying work across my sketchbook and blog
A- I will practice just having very short, initial
and brief annotations and notes within my sketchbook and then writing my more developed
and in depth annotations within my blog. I will reduce the tendency to
overwrite and repeat by trialling a method of using post it notes within my
sketchbook to record ideas I want to cover in my blog, which i can then remove
upon doing so.
R- This will allow me to tackle one of my Unit 1
'Even better ifs' allowing me to progress as a student and designer
T- I intend to have begun to develop and achieve
this by the end of Unit 2 and its assessment
2) S- Practice my observational drawing techniques
to improve visual langue skills
M- Whenever I have the opportunity to be able to
visually represent an idea, concept of visual I wish to record
A- I will consciously try and consider alternative
more visual methods of displaying ideas and concepts throughout my project to
allow my skills to develop in this area. As well as allowing myself to develop
alternative methods to be able to visualise and communicate my ideas.
R- This will allow me to tackle one of my Unit 1
'Even better ifs' allowing me to progress as a student and designer
T- I intend to have begun to develop and achieve
this by the end of Unit 2 and its assessment
3) S- Reduce the levels of stress created when leaving
for college in the morning to be in on time
M- Every onsite day I attend college
A- I will try and get up more promptly and effectively.
This may be through choosing not to snooze my alarm so much, reducing time
spent on my phone or even simply getting an earlier night the day before to
allow me to get up more effectively.
R- It will allow me to come into college with my
stress levels lowered and not have to cause any rush or stress within the
journey into college
T- I intend to try and get this working better and
resolved within the first few weeks of Unit 2 and create a much more stress
free and healthy routine
