Review, responses and reflection on primary research questionnaire

Image
Displayed above is my responses to my initial primary research questionnaire posted on both Google classroom, for my classmates, and on my social media for people to respond and express their opinions, views and talk over concepts and themes within my project as a whole. Overall, I had over 20 responses, which I was very happy with, from both my classmates and my social media followers. Providing and allowing me to have a varied, wide range of audience's opinions, styles and outlooks to my answers and reflections. Making this sort of primary research a very informative way of understanding my target audience’s perspectives, views, feelings and opinions towards different areas and concepts in my theme as a whole. Intern, hopefully, allowing me to reflect and create a product that is customised, desirable and as effective as possible in helping to make positive change towards a more positive, hopeful and sustainable future. Taking into consideration key aspects from this research, ...

Exhibition planning, presenting and reflection

Image
Before breaking up for the Christmas holidays, at the midpoint of Unit 2, we were tasked to present some of our work in an exhibition form. Making us consider: composition, location, layout, content, which areas of our creative process to display and how these may be read and received by audiences. All key, vital elements in a creative process and project as a whole, as well as great learning opportunities ahead of creative progression areas such as portfolio building and formatting in the near future.    I personally chose to display my screen print workshop from last week as I thought it was the most representative and influential body of work I’ve produced to date. Reflecting many of my key concepts and themes, influences and research I've previously carried out within my project  (many from my initial research using 'True Cost' documentary) . To compose and layout which areas of my creative process I wanted to display and how I wanted to do this, I chose to use the te...

Letter press relief print workshop

Image
Letter press relief print workshop working with a variety of fonts, scales and aesthetics, reflecting and representing the complex, multi issue and daunting concepts within my theme, including the climate crisis and fashions role and impact within it. The union, however, of all these different fonts and styles could also represent how there is an opportunity for a union in society and community, all collectively making positive change, uniting and working together for a better, more hopeful future. Within this workshop I intentionally chose to restrict myself in the words and concepts I was inspired by, linking back to the restrictions we might face as a society in the future, due to our actions today or our failure and lack to address the concepts within my theme as a whole. I personally chose to use the word 'Cost' within my workshop and related imagery, inspired by my previous research into the 'True Cost' documentary that has influenced concepts, artists and various...

Critical Review brief, initial responses and planning

Image
Initial responses and notes on key areas that I need to include, concentrate and use to inform and build my critical review essay. Providing me with a base that I can look back on to ensure I have all the areas, aspects and concepts required integrated within my essay. Also allowing me to highlight and manage my time over the holidays by ensuring I’m aware and prepared for the set due dates, for both the draft and final review.  Personally, I chose to start planning my review by taking the guide, from within the brief given to us, and placing bullet points under to outline the content and concepts I wishes to cover from within these different areas and themes. Therefore, help to  provide me with a base that I can look back on to ensure I have all the areas, aspects and concepts required integrated within my essay. This will also allow me to have a set list and record of concepts and elements I can look back on, ensuring I’ve covered all the aspects I want to highligh...
